What are Custom Fields?
Custom fields let you add your own data points to frames beyond the built-in ones (notes, voice, camera movement, etc.). If there is something specific you always want to track — like a location, a prop list, an estimated duration, or a shot type — you can create a custom field for it.
Custom fields are defined at the board level, so every frame in that board can use them.
How to set up custom fields
- Open your board and go to the board settings.
- Find the Custom Fields section.
- Click Add Field and give it a name (e.g. Location, Duration, Prop List).
- Save your custom fields.
How to fill in a custom field on a frame
- Open a frame within the board.
- Scroll to the custom fields section in the frame editor.
- Fill in the value for each custom field.
Custom fields are flexible — use them however makes sense for your content type and workflow.
