What is Educate and Convert?
Educate and Convert is a carousel structure designed to do two things at once: teach your audience something genuinely useful, and position your product or service as the natural next step. It works because people are far more likely to buy from someone who has already helped them — before asking for anything in return.
This framework is a staple of high-performing Instagram and LinkedIn carousels. The key is that the education comes first and feels complete on its own. The offer at the end does not feel pushy — it feels like a logical extension of what you just shared.
Best for
Instagram carousels, LinkedIn carousels, educational content that converts
Use when
You want to teach something AND make an offer in the same post — without the post feeling like an ad.
The 7 Slides
- Hook — A catchy headline or visual that stops the scroll. Make a bold promise or ask a question your audience is already thinking about.
- Problem — Define the specific problem your audience is facing. The more precisely you name it, the more they will feel understood.
- Solution — Introduce your solution or concept. Keep it high-level here — the details come next.
- Benefit 1 — Explain the first key benefit of your solution. What does it make possible?
- Benefit 2 — Explain the second key benefit. Keep it distinct from Benefit 1.
- Offer — Present your product, service, or call to action. This is where you make the ask — but because you have spent the previous slides delivering value, it lands naturally.
- Call to Action — Tell them exactly what to do next. Save, share, comment, click the link — pick one action and make it clear.
Tips
- Your Hook slide is the only one most people will see before deciding to swipe. Spend the most time on it.
- Benefits work best when they are outcome-focused, not feature-focused. Instead of faster loading, try spend less time waiting and more time doing.
- The Offer slide should feel earned, not sudden. If your education was genuinely helpful, the offer is a gift, not a pitch.
